About Me: White Key By-Ear Pianist🎹

Hello! I'm Audrey, a white key by-ear pianist (by night) and an Economist (by day). This means I can play ANY song with a distinguishable melody by ear in C Major, using only white keys.

I started learning piano at 4, but I dreaded formal lessons because I was only allowed to play classical pieces like Beethoven and Chopin. All I really wanted was to play the songs I heard on the radio so I could sing along and share them with my friends!

So, outside of class, I began experimenting with the white keys and learned popular easy songs to play by ear on piano in C major, even if they weren’t originally in that scale. I realized you don’t need formal music training to play by ear—anyone can do it with just a little practice!

Learning to play songs I loved kept me motivated and made piano fun, and I’m excited to share that joy with you. Playing music should be simple, enjoyable, and something everyone can do!
